Become a lifesaver, up skill or just want to help out at Nippers. This page will help guide you on the best path. To be eligible for any course you must be an active member, hold a blue card and have an USI number. Please see below for more information.

  • To become Lifesaver at KWSLSC you must be an active member of KWSLSC. You will need to do the following

    If you already have a Blue Card or a USI, please email the Surf Office with your details and they can link the information to your new membership.

    From here you will need to gain your SRC or Bronze Medallion.

  • For Nippers to be able to run we need an age manager (green rashie) for each age group and we need 1 water safety (orange rashie) for every 5 nippers.

    • Age Manager or Assistant Age Manager

    • Water Safety- You need to get your SRC or Bronze Medallion. CLICK HERE for more information.

    • Official at carnivals. If your child is going to compete at carnivals, you must also be available to help out as a water safety, age manager or official.

    • General Volunteering Roles; Beach Set-Up & Pack-Up, BBQ & Fundraising, Uniforms distribution & General Admin.

ENROLLMENT

  • To become an active member of KWSLSC and be eligible to enroll in any course you must

  • Enrolment for all courses is now online. Log into your Members Area account and go into eLearning and then to Course List to find the course you want to enrol in.

    For both new and existing members - before enrollment, please see the minimum membership requirements information below.

  • Before you enrol into a course, make sure your membership and bluecard is current and you have all the green ticks needed in your members portal.  If you are having trouble - our membership guide will help you.

    Unique Student Identifier (USI)

    To enrol into any course, you will also need your Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. A USI is an individual education number that's assigned to you for life by the Australian Government. It's free and will take about 5 minutes to complete the process - you will need at least one form of valid identification. For current high-school students you will also need your Learner Unique Identifier (LUI) if relevant for QCE points.

  • On your completion of your bronze and SRC course you will receive a full patrol uniform. Use online shop for replacements uniform and non-mandatory patrol gear.
